Alan Zelnicker
Alan is a principal with Rosenzweig & Company, a leading Senior Executive Search firm. He offers extensive experience in the field of executive search, having worked within both leading multi-national and boutique search environments; Alan offers deep expertise in research, process, quality control, and client service. He has successfully completed a multitude of senior-level recruiting assignments for a cross-section of organizations, large and small, often with diverse and complex requirements.
Prior to joining Rosenzweig & Company, Alan was Head of Business Development for a leading provider of information services. In this business, he played a key role in developing successful relationships with channel partners and clients in the financial services and technology sectors.
Before entering the search industry, Alan began his career in corporate communications with a prominent public affairs firm, based in Washington, D.C., where he focused on corporate and governmental advocacy campaigns.
Alan received his Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from McGill University, a Master’s Degree in Business Communication from American University, and studied Advanced Graduate Management at Athabasca University.
Alan is a member of the Funding Committee for Autism Speaks Canada and is involved in a number of community based initiatives within the Greater Toronto Area.
Jay Rosenzweig
Jay, the founding partner of Rosenzweig & Company, is a veteran of executive search. He consults to a wide range of public and private companies including large global corporations; small to medium-cap businesses; and venture capital firms in the development of world-class leadership teams and boards. He offers deep cross-functional and cross-sector experience, with a track record of having successfully recruited general managers, “C” level (CEO, COO, CMO, CFO, CIO) executives, and professional services partners for his broad client base.
Jay founded Rosenzweig & Company after many years in the search business, beginning in research, and progressing to partner-level roles both in boutique and global, public firm environments.
Prior to joining the search industry, Jay was in the field of law, which included exposure to corporate/commercial litigation, criminal defense, and human rights work.
Jay earned a B.A. in Philosophy from McGill University and then went on to graduate from its law school where he obtained both Civil Law (B.C.L.) and Common Law (LL.B.) Degrees through the four year National Program. He also completed Roger Fisher’s Negotiation Program at Harvard Law School. Jay is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Jay is an avid music lover and songwriter. He represents a select number of world class artists in the music industry.
Jay is involved in a number of not-for-profit endeavors within the Toronto community and abroad.
Frank Carnavale
Frank Carnevale is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bridgepoint Group. In addition to managing the firm, Frank focuses on strategic growth and project origination of energy and infrastructure solutions across the United States and Canada.
Frank is a trusted advisor to public sector leaders, and continues to develop successful public private partnerships. Frank guests lectures at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology on public private partnerships. He has been published in infrastructure, energy and municipal publications, some of which have included his perspective on the virtues of public private partnerships.
Frank has been progressive on bringing ethics to public sector procurement, and has lectured on the practice of ethical standards.
Frank actively participates in a number of industry forums. He has been elected by his peers to the Board of Directors of the Ontario Energy Association, where he Chairs the Conservation and Technology Committee, and is a member of both the Governance and Membership Committees.
Prior to establishing Bridgepoint Group in 1998, Frank gained extensive public sector experience through his tenure with the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto, followed by the City of Toronto. There, he developed the legislative expertise and background necessary to understand key motivators of decision makers across the broader public sector.
Frank is a board member of The Canadian Stage Company, Canada’s largest not-for-profit contemporary stage company, and Shelternet, Canada’s only national IT support and resource network for shelters for women and their children.
Frank graduated from York University with a BA degree in Political Science. He and his wife reside in Toronto, Canada.
David Pasieka
David’s executive leadership experience spans many of Canada’s leading technology companies including Bell Canada, CNCP Telecommunications, UniTel, MetroNet Communications, AT&T Canada, 724 Solutions, Oasis Technology, eFunds International, Iseemedia, Bulrush Clean Energy and Luxell Technologies. David consults early stage technology companies in turnaround or growth strategies under the banner of his consulting company Cedarvue Partners. His recent focus has been on high potential companies in the Clean Tech sector including Blue Sky Solar, Bulrush Clean Energy and Zerofootprint Software – organizations concerned about carbon emissions in a climate change economy.
David is currently engaged as an Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) at the RICCentre a commercial innovation centre affiliated with MaRS Discovery District. MaRS is a not-for-profit organization focused on stimulating innovation to accelerate the creation of successful Canadian enterprises. David has led many world-class organizations through successful turnaround and revitalization, mergers and acquisitions. His tenacity and willingness to embrace change head on, has earned him respect amongst his peers. He has seamlessly integrated people, policies, and processes in order to reduce down time and encourage the steady growth of the organizations he serves.
With experience in Europe, Middle East, Asia and North America as well as executive expertise including Sales, Marketing, Integration, Operations and Customer Delight, he has integrated his expertise in a variety of disciplines and marketplaces. David’s board experience consists of chairing the Audit Committee of Iseemedia (TSX-V) – a Canadian Wireless Software company, and the HR committee of Luxell Technologies (TSX) – a Canadian Aerospace company from 2005 to July 2008. David also sits on the Board of Oakville Hydro and Echo Logics. He is also a member of the faculty of the McMaster Directors College & Not-For-Profit Governance Institute where he lectures on director selection/evaluation, climate change and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
David earned a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) from the University of Waterloo, Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Schulich School of Business – York University and his Chartered Director (CDir) designation from McMaster University. Living in Oakville for the past 25 years, David has developed a sense of community at home. In his free time he enjoys time on the golf course or ski slopes with his family and friends.
